Displacement and bumps problem



Does someone know why blender is applying the subdivision only on the side?

Are UVW Map right for this faces?

Yes. Looks like UVW Map is not good.

You must learn how create UVW map. When you create a good UVW Map, this problem automatically fixes.

Switch to a view where you can see the (two-dimensional …) UV maps, superimposed upon the texture, with the corresponding 3D view. Now, try things like re-sizing the UV map “islands” and observe the result. It is much easier to see it than to explain it.

Apparantly it’s applying it on top, but very subtle.

For all who are experiencing a similar problem. The solution is (at least for me) you press Ctrl+A and select Scale. Then you change the scale in the displacement node to your liking.
