DP Node is plugged in the editor and is enabled in material settings. blender 3.1 why doesnt work?
Are you using Cycles or Eevee? Material displacement doesn’t work in Eevee
and to add…it only works in Render View…
and needs to be enabled in the material under the Settings tab…by default it is set to Bump only…

Whoops, wanted to mention to set it to “Displacement and Bump” as well.
Also, make sure you set render view to Cycles, and either Experimental, then a Catmul Clark subdiv to Adaptive, OR just subdivide the mesh a few times, and use normal cycles with normal Catmul Clark subsurf, in short, just make sure to give the displacement room to work.
