Distribute objects inside an object

Hello,

   How can I distribute objects inside an object. I tried using hair system but it grows outside the object. Thanks.

In the system towards the top, there’s a checkbox for ‘advanced’ check that and then choose ‘Volume’ instead of verts or faces.
