distributed rendering on macs with Xgrid??

okay so I have animation I need to render, but it’s gonna take a while, does anybody know how to set up a network with xgrid on mac osx 10.4? I found a tutorial, but its for version 10.3 and 10.4 is nothing like the other version, so the tutorial is pretty much obsolete. my teacher helped me get 2 computers showing up on the xGrid admin…thing, and theyre available agents, but we cant add a new job.

edit:
okay so we got it to work with a commandline, it doesnt work through xgrid, it works standalone, when we try through xgrid, this is the ouput:
fcp19-2:~/Desktop/BlenderXgrid student$ xgrid -h 147.129.97.60 -job results -id 9Using Python version 2.3

Unable to load: libtiff.
Try setting the BF_TIFF_LIB environment variable if you want this support.
Example: setenv BF_TIFF_LIB /usr/lib/libtiff.so

help muchly appreciated

If your problem isn’t solved, there is another tool that worked for me. The developer is very responsive.

thanks, i’ll look into it

Try saving to another format other than TIFF.
