Even using the dither option in the render settings is not getting rid of the gradients in the final render. I’m using full samples for 8x anti-aliasing (which are supposed to give good anti-aliasing while compositing)
I’ve exported the image to OpenEXR format. Here I have attached the jpeg converted from the original OpenEXR image. The render settings are as in the attached image (shadow_render_settings.png).
Well the banding in the image has reduced after adding cubic interpolation to the material but not removed completely. am trying out some more trials to see what works… Thanks Rambobaby.
Are you using buffer shadows? If so then try using ray tracing. I don’t know how buffer shadows are adjusted but they do require some for satisfactory results. Ray shadows take longer to compute but don’t require all of the tweaking that buffer shadows need.
