So i got up this morning and went to check on my webspace. Well, imagine my suprise when my website suddenly turns into “Your account has been suspended, contact HD”. Now, this was such a shock because i dont even USE these hostdime people. I use blast media hosting, which so far has been extremely good. So i found out that even going to www.blastmediahosting.com comes back to that same error messege.
So i started to get a sinking suspicion. I contacted a hostdime “tech” on AIM and explained my problem (Keep in mind, that MY webhost has now become an error messege) where this genius tells me “Youll have to contact your webspace provider directly. We cant disclose any information. You need to contact www.blastmediahosting.com” To which i told him (A bit stressed, but not hostile) “Smeezky (5:28:18 PM): Dude comeon use your head, i cant contact them if i dont have a contact address, and you guys are intercepting the domain!!!”. So he says he would pass me along to a supervisor. I hoped maybe someone with more intellect then the “tech”.
I get a messege from “resellerslive” saying “If you ever talk to my tech that way again i will wipe your account.” Great professionalism eh? I try to explain my situation to him (Mainly the part where im not even their customer, at least not directly.) But he insisted on being a prick, and after several repetitions of “That gives you no right to talk to my tech that way” or “You should never contact us again” i stopped talking to him.
So. Now i have no website, no host, and im in the hole for a year of service that i paid to some ass-clown that evidently forgot to pay his bill, or flew the coop. And the enormous sense of professionalism from these hostdime jokers just makes my day.
Just a note to anyone here that might be looking at buying webspace.
So, in closing. Dont buy from www.blastmediahosting.com because he doesnt pay his bills and gets you screwed.

Hi guys, I am writing you now to express my utter outrage at your brand of ‘customer service’. An associate of mine was treated very poorly indeed at the hands of your company. Not only was he treated poorly, but thouroughly cheated as well. Now, due to his experience with your representatives, he has become rather vocal regarding your organization. In alienating him, you have alienated many others. You should be more careful how you treat people. There are many providers out there to choose from, and people have little patience with clowns and thieves, which apparently is what your organization is comprised of. Good day.

Ok, with that disclaimer out of the way, do you know any lawyers? Because if you do this is most likely a very simple fix.
Take your invoice, check stub, credit card statement, etc, showing you’ve paid for the full year to an attorney, hopefully someone who is a friend and won’t charge you. Now ask them politely to draft a very simple/professional letter. This letter would detail your desire to receive compensation for used time, as well as an summary of the situation.
The trick is, most of the time the lawyer’s signature on the letter is all it takes, depending on the dollar amount (I’m guessing less than $200) they owe you, they will cave immediately, pay you back, and terminate the account.
It may take a few weeks, but it’s better than nothing.
No no, my host is reselling space that they buy from the hostdime people. Since hostdime suspended MY hosts account, i have no way to contact the people that i paid for my space.
I’m a lawyer, but I’m in Italy…
IMHO (if a lawyer can be humble) someone has to be responsible for this situation…
I mean, if your reseller doesn’t solve the trouble with the “primary” host, he has to give your money back (at least a percentage equal to the time you haven’t had your hosting service)…
example: you payed 12 $ for 1 year, you’ve got your site on-line for 3 months, they have to give you back 9 months of unused service, 9 $ in this example…
so your problem is that if blastmediahosting won’t pay hostdime they probably won’t have the money for you…
you better write to blastmediahosting asking them to reactivate your service or give back the money…
Well, resellerslive contacted me again, mad that some people cough were harassing him or his forum.
So, him and i kind of argued a bit more, and apologized for acting like assholes, and hes not so bad of a guy once your not freaking out over getting screwed over. So i edited my post at his request, because i felt sort of bad for badmouthing these people.
