After we render our scene interior design, in order to make the scene look realistic do we need to lower the resolution because in render the image is very clean very crisp. Most of the time i add a grain and blurry the scene a little bit. But do we need to lower the resolution in order to make it look more and more realistic?
The first image it is my reference photo the second is mine.
I havent add any grain or gaussien blur effect.
To make it look more realistic do i need to lower the resolution to make the image not to look crisp
For proper comparison you might want to choose the (farily) same size of the images…
you also might think about depth of field not necessarrily directly used but rendereing also a depth map and then addjust this in composition…
Seeing the preview directly… i would say no… but this may depend on the context. For some product representation this might be “one the right way” but not final ??
well your reference seems computer generated as well, I’d avoid reducing the resolution. A very small blur might help but I’d avoid that as well.
It’s only when you want to add CG to a filmed shot or image that this might become necessary. Otherwise the image might look of bad quality, instead of a bit too sharp.
Film grain and blurring the edges, or chromatic abberation might help to remove some details without making the image too cheap…
