I have recently been playing around with word puzzles like Letter Boxed, and it got me thinking about whether these kinds of puzzles can actually help with creative thinking.
The interesting part of Letter Boxed is that you are not simply looking for a word from a list. You have to connect letters from different sides of a box and sometimes the obvious word does not help much. You end up trying different combinations, remembering possible words and looking at the same letters from a completely different angle.
That reminded me a little of working in Blender. When you’re stuck on a modeling or design problem, sometimes the solution is not about knowing another tool. It is about approaching the problem differently.
I am curious if anyone here enjoys word puzzles or logic games alongside 3D work.
Do you think activities like word puzzles actually help with problem-solving and creative thinking or are they just a fun way to take a break from Blender?

I imagine that they likely do help in some ones such as pattern recognition because your brain will learn from nearly anything you do weather it’s art, solving puzzles or looking at something interesting.
Some people do know exactly any City with x to y characters.. but do not know where they are or anything more meaningful than maybe in which country the are..
So it’s a memory exercise.. and.. of course trying different things on any problem is the way to go… if you only repeat what others already did then there will never be any “invention” or discovery..
One also does no learn to drive a car by:
open the door on the drivers side
sit down and rearrange the mirrors suitable
grab the steering wheel and start the engine while pressing the hitch
slowly speed up and follow the street
Some people may already fail at opening the door.. and some may sit down on the surface in front of the car.. and we are not even talking about driving on the wrong side, ignoreing any traffic signs or lights..
..but strangely some people want tutorials which tell them exactly what button to press to achieve their specific “goals”.
But for those kind of people who also seems to use the word “cumbersome” very often.. there thankfully is:
