Documentation Idea...

Sorry it’s kinda late, for next time I guess

I had an idea for the documentation:

I’m attempting my first major model right now, the XM8.

I thought that the next manual/update to the wiki manual should include this:

1.Explain basic 3D concepts. Such as the different mesh data and such; I’m no expert, so I don’t even know if that’s ‘basic.’

For instance, explain how important color theory is (for advanced users), or what beginners should expect to know later on and such…

Just stuff like that. It may help; I don’t know, my assessment might not be accurate at alll; I dunno, I just think I’d do better if I was told what EVERYTHING does right off the bat without having to swim through tutorials (see below)…

  1. A “top-down” explanation of Blender; talk about ALL the tools and what they do; every single one. It may help people navigate Blender, especially if they’re new to 3D. I think it would really help to talk about all the tools before going through tutorials first; going through tutorials first is sort of like going through a maze without really knowing what’s going on. They might not have a clue what to do with their training later on…I may be wrong, just a thought though…

  2. Then begin the tutorials such as modelling gus…

Just a thought…LC

Sorry if this should go in the tutorials section…I thought it was for posting actual tutorials and that a comment would be better put here…
