Dodge Viper

I’m relatively new to blender and this is my first finished car model:

C&C welcome

Wow! That’s so great. Now learn texturing, materials and rendering and you wil be quite pro.

Higher spec on glass thicker glass
higher reflectoin on exhaust

The background looks abit strange.

Im assuming thats a picture background. If so, how exactly did u set that up?

nice
but

the lights dont look right, and neither does the windshield. the rims are kinda boring, not chrome enough. and well, about the background, the car is sitting on water

Higher spec on glass thicker glass

what do you mean with thicker glass? should i model the glass from a cube or 2 planes back to back? here i tried 2 planes cause i read it somewhere but seemingly it isn’t that good.

higher reflectoin on exhaust

yes, i will do this on my next render

Im assuming thats a picture background. If so, how exactly did u set that up?

yes it is a picture. i made a plane and loaded the image as a texture. is this a bad method?

the lights dont look right, and neither does the windshield

how could i make the lights/windshield better? i only found tuts of how to do the car body but not the rest of the car.

the rims are kinda boring, not chrome enough

if i make the rims more chrome they look strange…

about the background, the car is sitting on water

how could i make it look more like wet street? is there a guide that tells what shader options to use for which material??

anyway thnx for your replies!

Yafray.

That’s the way!

very good car.

Looks cool. You should make more details on the inside. Im making a dodge viper too (wip forum) and I checked the doge website which had very good reference pics of the interior.
