Does changing 2.49 interface cause problems?

the changes I’ve made are to the darker, “rounded” theme, and a couple of pane combos I like…

also, my “new” scene has a particular arrangement of empty, camera and light wherein both cam and light are set up to track the empty, so that I can easily move the empty without having to adjust the cam and light so that they point where I want.

but, can having other than the default set-up cause Blender to function improperly in any way?

You can setup the default scene to anything you want without causing any issues. It’s only like loading a particular blend file at startup.

BTW, how do you make your defaults override one in a .blend file?
