In terms of later workflow? Imported SVG’s are scale “1”… therefore I set the grid to 0.03…
For instance in Sketchup, if you model too small, like 5mm x 5mm… SU can/will have trouble with some calculations/extrusions/what have you… as it was not built for really small…
Does it matter in here?
Cheers,
P
it does, but not in the same way as in sketchup.
you wont have any trouble editing anything, but navigating your scene might get wierd. i had this idiot once who made the sun and the earth in real size, witch was a living hell to navingate no matter how far out i zoomed. mainly cause he put them so damn far out in 3D space.
and by making stuff too small, you may get clipping when going close to it, to solve that you must decrease the minimal clipping range, but then doing that will cause wierd transparecy´like effects around the edges in edit mode.
so size does matter, but not much. just dont make a real sized sun and earth try to keep it within a reasonable scale, and you will be fine.
hah! cheers, man
Yeah, its a detail, I like to refrain from future issues later on…
many physicals effect needs real dimensions to work properly
and normal scale is 1 so 1 meter in metric and 1 yard in imperial
anything wrong with that !
