DOF and HUD Question

Is there a way to have a dof script read the depth before adding an overlay scene? Currently my dof is focusing on my hud, making everything in the distance clear and everything close blurry. If I take my overlay scene off it works fine, auto adjusting the focus, but as soon as I add my overlay with my hud; focus jumps to .999999 and focuses on the hud…

If anyone needs more information, just let me know…

That sounds buggy,IMO this shouldn’t happen as you use overlay scene for HUD…strange.

@Yarbrough08 - Sounds like you’re placing your HUD literally on your game camera. If so, use an overlay scene like BlendingBGE said, and use the DOF filter on the game scene.

I have my HUD in a seperate scene named “HUD,” my game camera is located in a scene named “GameScene.” I do have the DoF script running on my game camera and am calling in my HUD as an overlay… I did try to bring it in as a background scene as well but then my HUD becomes blurry… So right the opposite…
