Hi
I can apply textures with transparent areas and I can create double sided material to be applied to a single face but I can t combine the 2 things together, eevery time I load the texture in the node editor to create the double sided material it loses the transparecy (alpha to black).
Basically what I am trying to achieve is an irregular and organic piece of paper that can be seen on both sides (one is written, the other one isn t), I am using cloth simulation so I can t use a very thin box…

Do you mean texture preview in NodeEditor or final render?
While NodeEditor doesn’t show alpha - just black/white, render looks OK for me.
You do not need to apply alpha texture in NodeEditor, just add texture to slot of node material and map it to alpha.

I mean in the final render, the transparent partas are rendered black.
What do you mean with “map it to alpha”?
Ok i got it, in th enode editor (material) connect the value of the texture to the alpha output
