WOW! I love the style. a very cool blend of organic and mechanical shapes. There is some weird stuff happening with the shoulders. I would guess the surface normals have gotten messed up. try correcting the normals by entering edit mode, selecting the WHOLE mesh, and then pressing “ctrl-N” to correct all normals. This can usually fix this sort of problem.

nice results with the toon render. were you planning to render this as a ton render from the start? I was picturing this being renedered with lots of VERY shiny textures… it just looks like it…
