driving me crazy....2.42 all textures go black

Every new object I add that has a texture appears either black, or white depending on it’s distance from a light source. ALl of the objects that are already there are fine. This only happens with 2.42a. I opeaned my file with 2.37 and it works fine. This is driving me crazy; all my textures are turning black!
p.s They only turn black when the game engne starts. They look fine when it is not running.

Can somebody help me?

.blend please. it’s probably because of the GLSL code, or maybe a specular highlight setting.

I found out my problem. “Use blender materials” was chechked, and that messed with my whole game. Now i can get it sorted out.
