I think that it promises to be an excellent work!
And It’s really nice the idea to put the reference images near the model.
the yello material that you attached to the main tanks also looks really realistic, you have done a great job!
simon
yeah the materials seen really good. and the model too. can you shiw your material settings and lightning setup???
This has alot of potential. So don’t quit. Cuz I’m sitting here waiting for updates
Looking good, keep it up
WOW! Very cool way to display W.i.P.
thx for all comments!
mvotre:
the lighting is quite simple. AO (plain, with energy 1-1.5) and area light (with 1 sample) above and behind the model pointing on it.
Material is default, just changed color, ray mir to 3.0 and fresnell to 1.4
here are some new renders:
and close up -

really nice :o
can’t wait to see more
Very nice indeed. Are the tire treads modelled, or is that a bump map?
Your paint material is very good. Care to share the settings there?
Keep the updates coming.

:drooool:
that is VERY cool. as a bike person, i am very pleased to see another bike. i seriously wanted to drool
thx for comments.
BgDM: the thread is a bump map. Paint material like I said above it’s nothing special, just raymir at .30 and fresnell 1.5
some updates:
This is a fantastic start. Looks like it’s gonna be very detailed.
Excellent work! I’m curious where you got the blueprints… I’d like to play with them too!
to be honest the blueprints aren’t right in several areas (I’m using them to keep right proportion). I’m modeling from photos.
I have them [blueprints] from the oficial ducati site. From their manuals (in pdf) .
can you give the exact url please ?
catch da wire
Neos Thank you for url!
and fortunetly now you’ve maked a good snapshot!
