I am not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, but is it possible to duplicate a vertex group on the same object? I have tried google, but I cant find a solution. Any help would be appreciated.

Ah there it is! Thank you Derek. I already found a workaround by copying the whole object and then transfer the weights back to the original, but I knew there must have been an easier way
