I can’t seem to duplicate a keyframe animated object. For discussion, let’s say the goal is to make two bouncing balls with keyframe animation.
I draw the first and define the keyframes, that works fine. I can edit the object IPOs and fine tune the motion.
Now I duplicate the object using shift-D. But that does not seem to work properly as I can’t seem to edit the duplicate’s motion separate from the original. The duplicate and the original seem to remain somehow linked with respect to their motion.
They share the same IPO as they share the same material. (The button right to the IPO name should show [2] in your example)
Therefor you have to make the ipo for the second ball single user.(press this button)
Now you can edit the two different Ipos for the two balls idependently.
Up there, in the info window, under the ‘Edit methods’ section, to the right there are 10 buttons that define what will be a full copy if you use shift+Dkey.
I’d bet that the one marked ‘IPO’ is no pushed in.
