Can anyone tell me how to hide the original object in dupliverts (or at least not have it render)? If I delete it, all the dupliverted objects delete.
I got the object that defines the vertices to not show by removing the faces.

What? when I use duplivets neither the duplicated object nor the parent duplivert object are rendered. They will still show in the 3D view, but they will not render. There is no need to remove the faces from the parent object. Once again, it will not show in the actual render.
