Dynamic Hide/Show objects in BGE

this method helps speed up frame rate, and is specially useful considering how week the current BGE is. do you guys think there’s a way to make the objects fade in rather than appear? leave some tips please

I think fading could be done with the compositor. I wonder though, if maybe a billboard of a tree could replace a model of a tree in the distance, do you think that would work?

hehe… Jack Black, true that would save me a lot of polygons, but I’m not too happy with the idea of a flat tree :confused:

It would just be when it’s in the distance, not so noticeable.
