Dynamic Mesh Data

Is there anyway to import mesh data from exsiting .blend files? I know you can load .blends form the logic but that just switches to the file. Would I need to rely on Blender module which is only accessable from Blender Application itself and not as an exe.

I think you can use “Append library” in menu from .blend

Yeah Sutabi, press f1 to append virtually any data from another .blend file. Then switch your existing mesh (or whatever you appended) to that of the new one. This is done in the edit buttons window.

Um…unless you meant in-game. In that case you will need python, and I can’t help you much there.

and use Shift + F1 to import individual meshes from another .blend file.

I think he means realtime loading of meshes or another data. Nope not in engine yet, althought I heard someone talking about it that it could be a possible feature for the future. I thought Snailrose (person working on Ogre integration/plugin) said something about, not sure what exactly. Oooh man there’s soo much cool stuff comming for the game engine. :slight_smile:
