I made a simple dynamic paint simulation of a sphere brushing across a plane. The plane has been subdivided to an extreme level. Blender is almost about to crash it’s going so slow. Even with the many subdivisions, the paint looks very out of focus/blurry. Anti-Aliasing has been turned on. Am I doing something wrong? I want a crisp paint look.
If you bake the paint to an image sequence, the resolution doesn’t depend on the mesh at all. You can do a 2048x2048 crisp bake from a one-polygon canvas, even though the viewport doesn’t show anything.
Ah, I was just using the Dynamic Paint Output “+” plus Vertex color on the canvas. Will try the image bake method.
