Dynamic Paint Stops once Rigid Body Takes Over

Hello everyone, i’m trying to make a prop plane crash animation and I used the Fracture Modifier from 2.79b, exported it as a .abc, and imported it into 2.82. I cannot figure out why I cannot get the prop plane to affect my dynamic paint canvas using weight, paint, waves or otherwise. The prop plane is affecting the paint until the point rigid body takes over and physics occur. I have subdivided the flat plane, and am looking from rendered view, and nada. Are there any better alternatives to using a DynaPaint map to create ground particle effects from a crash like this? Is there a way to convert the crashing physics of the plane into key frames to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
