Dynamica Logo

(theeth) #1

Heya folks!

We’re tyring to get a site running about Dynamica, but we still don’t have a logo. I have an idea for one, but it would be possible for now.

So, it’s up to you.

What we would need is a logo that could describe what our project is about (So if you don’t know what Dynamica is (ouch, where were you?) you’re kinda screwed.)

Also, it would be a plus if it could be animatable (hint: .blend file)

Sadely, we can’t offer you anything (for now, maybe after the release) for such a job, so you’ll have to make with eternal fame only ;o)

So, maybe you already have some ideas (or maybe not…), just post idea/pics/whatever in this thread.

Martin
PS: if anyone is interested in giving some help as a webmaster/site designer, contact me by e-mail please.

ooc, what is Dynamica?

I’ll get right on it…hmmm…a dynamica logo…that calls for something dynamic and alive. Something with force and nature

I’ll see if I can cook something…btw
Dynamica rules!!

I drew up some ideas on the bus home tonight… gimme 30mins or so and I’ll post some pics

Here is one of my ideas… I have a few more that I’ve sketched, but I just happen to like this one the most

Everyone keep in mind that logotypes are most effective when they are vector (scalable) and in few colours…

I like the second one better (text beside), but I think it could still be better.

I really like the vectors idea, and I think it could be a blast you exploit it a bit more.

Hey theeth… I know I already showed you this, but you didn’t seem to impressed… still working on making a quick “What is Dynamica” site…

I’ll should have the site up this evening or tomorrow…

SysAdm: well, it’s not that I wasn’t impressed, but I feel like the tile set on the letters doesn’t really fit the product. I mean, it could be good for a texture plugin series, but that’s not what Dynamica is (or did I miss something?) ;o)

One thing I like about your logo is the Blender Particle Plug-In part. Even though particles is not all that we do.

You really edited it three times with a one minute interval?

Btw, thanks for the temporary site and the webspace. I know you’ll probably say it’s nothing, but thanks anyway :o)

Sorry thats not a Logo  I like the otehr ones much, a logo needs to be simple and you have to recognize it in a fraction of a second if you see it again.

Well, Nimrad’s logo is not bad, but I like Caronte and Funkychild logos better.

Martin
PS: I agree with what Calli said.

(harkyman) #16

I’m working on one. Give me a couple of hours.

Here we go. This is a logo:

http://www.reed-witting.com/hsupload/dyanmica-logo.jpg

This is a logotype:

http://www.reed-witting.com/hsupload/dyanmica-logotype.jpg

Easily reproducable. Fairly simple.

It could also be recreated in true 3D for animation, although it wouldn’t have to be. Illustrator allows 2D animation, which could happily make the particles whiz around the “D”.

What do you think?

P.S. I wanted to make this with a chrome
texture but I don’t know how.

Ok, I had a great idea using Hos, FunkyChild and Caronte’s logo. I’ll post it later tonight.
