Inspired by Andrew Prices bread tutorials, I got the inspiration to create a breakfast scene.
Rendered in Cycles 1000 samples. It took About 5 hours to render.
Any critiques are very velcome. 
When my wife walked past the computer, she said, “now there is a person who collects Rosendahl”. She did not notice that the image was not real. So kudos for that. :eyebrowlift:
With regard to suggestions for improvement, I’d turn down SSS in the butter and cheese. Other then that, it seems as though the saucer far right is flying a little.
Other then that, the picture looks fantastic. :yes:

I think you are absolutely right about the butter and cheese. I will turn the SSS at litle bit down and maby the gloss a litle bit up. And render it with more samples. It is stil to grainy.
what’s with those “ashtray” plates anyway? Do people really want to eat ouf of something that resembles an ashtray? Or am i the only one noticing the similarities?
Anyways, good work, and like you said, the image is still a little bit grainy. The chair also looks to blurred out for my liking, but thats just a matter of tastes i guess.
This reminds me, need to do andrew’s price tutorial and see how hard it is to texture them bread slices.
It’s a European trait the ashtray plates, usually they are patterned and look very stylish. And yes they are eaten out of… they are “serving” plates as in what you’d put a slice of bread or cake on if I remember correctly.
lucblend - I have one question do you have bevel and/or subdivision surface on the cup and tea pot? As they are slightly splintered along the edges - unless that’s the intended design.
