Inspired by Andrew Price breadtutorial, i made this breakfast. All models are my own.
Rendered in Cycles 3000 samples.
Tried the new Blender 2.68 RC1 and what a speed improvement. Took 13 hours and 45 min. With the “old” 2.67 it took 18 hours to render the scene.
Hope you like it.
Outstanding job on this… the only thing it is missing is pancakes

I apolgize for the lateness of my comments. I just ran across this while playing catch up in the Focused Critique forum. I think this to be an exception secen. Very well done indeed. The only thing I would change is quite small and perhaps not worth the trouble but… I would deform the butter just a bit as it almost never comes out of the wrapper quite that neatly. Beyond that great job.

Really nice lighting!
The tea (if it is tea) seems to be too oily, and the bread not totally convincing (it’s hard to do, I know).
But in the complex is really photorealistic. Congratulations!

14 hours? Phew, imagine what it’d be like to render an animation!

I have thankfully no plans to do an animation. But i also rendered with Cpu because my Gpu have not enough ram and i used SSS.
