you might want to look at the camera flare compared with some real photos.
left side of the earth should be in total blackness, no?
wow this could really be very good! theres a few things holding it back though… i hope you dont mind critique
the stars are blue
all shadows should be completely black
the on the dark side of the earth there should be lots of little lights (cities)
the glare looks a bit fake…
and finally the earth is not inside of a gass cloud… this really adds to the scene though so im not sure if i would take that away… maybe make the planet look like its not earth?

Which bits are done in Blender and which are post production? I’m really interested in how you achieved the sun and sunrise effect in blender, as this is something I have spent a lot of time on in my project. I have not been able to get anything that looks as good as what you have in your image, so I’d love to learn.
