Easy 3d Logo

Okay so for my scohol’s broadcasting class I wanted ot create a 3d logo. I created the image on Photoshop but I want to be able to put the two images together to create something like this.

Except that I don’t want anything inside the circle extruded. I just want the logo to be like a cylinder with the images on both sides of it.
Here are the things i created

BACK:

FRONT:

Those are just for visuals.

So basically I a rotating cylinder (on it’s side) with the images on both sides.
But i don’t want it to be a cylinder cylinder just a flat table ish haha

Anyways can you guys help.

I know how to create the cylinder thing but then it’s just adding the images to the “cylinder”. My images don’t come out clear, and i have white lines on the edges, when the image is fully transparent.

YOUR HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Yes like that!
thank you!
except i would like the border on there, that blue border.
Can you explain how you achieved that?
i know how to make the model i just do’nt understand how you put the images on there.

If you don’t have time that’s okay i’ll just mess around with yours.
Thanks for the help!

hi
i quily changed the color of the edge.

how did i make it?
first i made a UV projection of the front and later of the back. i add the front and back image as a UV image to the UV projections. then i made a UV of the cilinder and gave it the color of the edge. and finaly i texture painted the front and back image on the UV of the cilinder.

here a tut about texture painting and UV http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2KHacBz83DM

ow i just notised that that was your second post, maybe you should start with a simple UV mapping tut before starting with texture painting. because thats les complicated and there are lots of tut on UV maping on youtube. you could also make this project by doing a UV map and the make the texture in photoshop ==> less complicatid but more time to get it perfect.

good luck in blender
