Edge loops

When ever I post something on the questions thread I always think that I shouldve know that. Their just is always something I didnt learn. So anyway todays question is edge loops how do I use them. They seem to be crucial in createing realistic faces.

Thanks in advanced

I’m curious if you searched for anything

https://blenderartists.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26197&highlight=edge+loops
https://blenderartists.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25290&highlight=edge+loops [not exactly on the topic, but a good read nonetheless]
https://blenderartists.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19889&highlight=edge+loops [head tut too!]
http://www.izware.com/news/indexa446.html [hope that link is still good]

… yeah, I didn’t go through more than one page of search results, you can find good stuff on google too
particularly:
http://maxrovat.sns.hu/subdiv/subdivmodeling.htm
http://cube.phlatt.net/home/spiraloid/tutorial/modeling.html
http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=157684

well anway, edge loops animate better, subsurf smooth better [no kinks], and because of the latter, are much easier to uvmap well
check out torq’s awesome head tut with edge loops [and see the thing I mean about animation on that animated gif]

What can I say but thanks.
