Edge select doesn't work under linux?

I work under RH9 linux and edge select (alt+RMB) doesn’t work. Is it ok? I work in Gnome, when I press right alt + RMB - nothing is selected, when I try with left alt I’ve got a gnome’s menu.

I could tell you where the setting is in kde though:
in the control center (should be in k menu)
in Desktop section
under Window Behavior
on the Actions tab
there is an option (under “Inner window, title bar and frame”)
for a modifier key. By default it is alt. In combination with particular mouse buttons on windows it has (customizable there) functions. Alt+left is usually move window, and I don’t use the others.

bah, well anyways you want to remove that binding, I don’t know where the setting is in gnome or other window managers (I would like to know if possible, on some systems I use windowmaker…)

Oh, I forgot, it may have turned into control+alt+rmb in a newer version. Check if that works
