I just boned my entire UV map when I did some loop cuts and edge slided them. This would be relatively easy to correct in a few minutes of work by doing equivalent edge slides in the UV editor, but… edge sliding is not available in UV editor?
The UV editor lacks some of the tweaking tools that the 3D view has, but the last “operator panel” for edge-slide tool in editmode should have a checkbox labeled Correct UV’s (which will make the equivalent edits to the UVmap).
The ‘Correct UV’s’ option is not enabled by default when you slide an edge or do a loop cut and slide. If you go into File / User Preferences / Input you can enable the option for the corresponding shortcut, then save your settings. The option should then be anabled whenever you use these tools if that is something you prefer.
aww man why is it shown after the tool is used? Anyway I’ll definitely keep this one in mind. Was kinda my fault for editing without Texture shading mode I guess. Thanks!
If you do a change in the tool settings after you invoked it, the result should be changed to match the new settings being used. (so you can still correct the UV’s without undoing and using the tool again).
