Edit linked library is not finding the liked file.

I just linked a character and wanted to make a quick update. So I used the Edit Linked library.

When I hit the button to open the source file I get the message “Current file does not exist on disk, we cannot autosave it, aborting.”

Odd, I just linked the object so, yes, it does exist on the disk.

If I un-check the autosave it opens the file.

Anyone run in to this issue and know how to solve it.?

OK, I figured it out. first once you link a file, you need to save the working file for the autosave to work.
