RE: http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Dev:2.5/Source/Development/Proposals/Editable_Object_Parameters
This extract from the Wiki page says it all…
“Blender has really great possibilities to create simple and really advanced meshes… many plugins offer many shapes. For example cube, cylinder or… rhombicuboctahedron. But the problem is — parameters for the object are available only at start, when it appears. As soon as it’s moved, rotated or just… deselected, all parameter editing possibilities disappear. Often it is really handy to change some parameter after rotating, scaling or moving it in the right place.”
Can this issue finally be addressed in a subsequent release? It seems to me to have been put on the back burner for too long, since this Wiki dates back to previous versions. It almost seems that the ‘last operation’ feature in the toolbox sidebar is being confused with the object editing operations. Their history should be separated, and accessible from some menu listing so that we can go back to an ivy_gen object for example, and change the appearance of trees and shrubs to tweak a final render, rather than to delete and replace the tree object with a new one. It would be a very useful time saving feature.
