Editing a actuator using a property,

import bge
own = cont.owner
cont = bge.logic.getCurrentController()
X = own[‘X’]
act_move = cont.actuators[‘Move’]
act.move.linV = [ 0, 0, X ]

//What is wrong with this code?

I just realized own and cont are the same thing maybe?

I wish I could just paste X in as the motion :frowning:

I would expect at least an error message.

Hint I: switch line 2 and 3.
Hint II: do not forget to activate the actuator when needed. Otherwise this code configures the actuator ONLY.

I got it all working now
now I am moving on to how to change the target of a 6dof link with python
