editing fluid sim manually

Is there a way to edit the geometry of the fluid sim hand by hand. the fluid sim is correct but slightly of the glass. i want to edit fluid in edit mode then sculpt it . i try to export animated obj but blender don t import animated obj. if someoen got an idea?

One way to do it is to “apply” fluid modifier, so that you convert the fluid into mesh, as in this tutorial.

It seems only way to control erratic fluid behavior is to increase its Fluid / Resolution. I am talking Final Resolution setting of 200 or more. Be prepared for long number crunching by your PC.

Only other method I tried with mixed result was to create a dummy Obstacle with thick walls. Bake it. Then insert modified obstacle object for final render.
