Editing multiple objects at once

Hi,

What I am trying to solve is that, for example, I have these 8 blades positioned evenly in a circle so they create something like a chopper rotor. Now when I want to scale one end of each blade, I have to do that manually for each one of them. Is there any way to put them into some kind of a group so when I edit one, same editing happens on all of them?

All of the blades are one object, I could make them separate, but I find it best to be one object.

thanks for help

You can use an array modifier to do this. This Blendercookie video tutorial shows you how (in 2.5).

wel there are several differt options.

  1. try linked duplication (alt D) all the blades wil be different objects but when you make a change to one of them, all wil change.
2)try Dupliverts/faces this wil duplicate a child object to al the vert/faces of the parent object. this meens you only need 1 blade
3)the array modifier ==> note that this will not be handy in your case.
4)if you’re done with modeling and the only problem is positioning and scaling then you could also use constraints.

personaly i would use option 2 in your case.

Thx for replies, gonna try out
