Eevee and objects set to wireframe

Hello there.

I want to render a fly-through of a train. Mostly we’re using 2.79 , but I thought it best to render this flythrough in Eevee (it’s 3000 frames long and renders around 20 min per frame in cycles) … the scene consists of linked groups of the carriages…

In all the linked scenes we have set the windows to wireframe mode… and in the viewport all the windows are invisible, and all is fine.

However, when I choose to render the viewport, anything set to wireframe is still rendered. Which isn’t ideal.
