Eevee/Cycles Lights with nodes?


I use Eevee for the viewport and Cycles to render the image.

But: The difference – especially when it comes to light sources – are way to different with my setup.

As an example: I have an area light, to which I “applied” “Use nodes”.

In the shader editor I created two shaders in one like so:


But this seems not to work:

The “cycles”-part works as expected, the “eevee”-part is ignored, despite the fact, that there
is a selector in the Light Output node exactly for that.

What I am doing wrong here?

Eevee doesn’t support light nodes (yet?), see here in the manual.
