Eevee lighting technicalities

Hi. I am trying to create a small box with some point lights inside. The box has an open face facing the ground. Basically it is a box hanging from the wall with in line lights inside it …as a ceiling lamp.

I am trying to use Eevee. So far is looking quite convincing, but I am dealing with two specific things I would like to solve and you might have some insights on how to do it.

  1. The point lights within the box are illuminating/bleeding the back part of the box. So If this is a metal box with only one opening facing the ground…I would try to avoid light showing on the back part.

  2. I would like to light to be casted on the floor with the limits of my box. So the light projection should be as expected in real life a squarish shape on the floor not an undefined…blur as it is now.

I am a bit overwhelmed by eevee parameters and I was wondering if you have any tip to guide more precisely to the “thing” I need to tweak.

Thank you
