thanks I did this same procurement and worked fine. Move back from latest drivers 20.11 to 20.9.3 Raedon Software.

downgrading my radeon driver to 20.9 fixed it for me too
thank you so much, I couldn’t get the wireframe overlay to work, then noticed eevee wasnt working either

Pretty sure its a driver issue, specifically AMD. On Radeon software version 20.11.1, Eevee renders and works fine, but on version 20.11.2 and newer, Eevee breaks. In the release notes of 20.11.2, it says, " Added Vulkan® Support, VK_KHR_fragment_shading_rate", so I think that’s the issue.
