Effector not working in fluid simulation

Hi I’m new to blender and trying to model a river. I have multiple planes and spheres joined together to create a river scene and I am using those as an effector. This in all in a domain and I am using a cylinder as an inflow. However when I bake the simulation the water passes straight through the effector. I want the water to run to the end and fall of the effector and gather in the bottom of the domain. I have tried looking for a solution and the planes have now a thickness of 0.3m and all transforms are applied. But to no avail.

I have figured it out. Even though I had set the fluid type to effector and the effector type to collision. I hadn’t checked the box use effector.
You would think it would use it as soon as you set the object as an effector.
