egg

hi all,

I did design the egg. white part of the egg was be not very good :(…

what do you think about this image?

That’s a weird lookin egg…

I would call it “egg’ish” For the basic model it is ok. I would thicken up the shell, come up with a different material for the shell, make the cracks a little more “craky”, maybe add some cracks to the intact part of the shell, then find an egg white and a yolk texture. Then play with the lighting.

Mind you these thoughts come from someone that knows how to model a box…

Reference!!! Reference is king.

Why don’t you try to emulate this image? Try to replicate it exactly, observe the thickness, texture, color, specularity, camera angle, and background.

Oops, I thought this was in Works in Progress! Why would you post this in Finished Projects?
hakki, you are practically spamming this section with mediocre attempts. Post this in WIP, then pm me and I will help you to perfect it. Then call it finished.

thanks for your sharing 3dementia!
sorry but I disagree to you. eventually, the all designs is relatively incomplete. ie, my design is need a few to proposal. later, with your help also, the project is ends. but you can change the project continuous. that’s why, the project never ends. offer income, the proposal applied and project be better. There is no end to it…
anyway, thanks everyone for your input! again thanx Place57 for your offer! what do you think about this image?

Even if you believe that, it only means you need to be posting in the WIP section.

I think the first improvement you should make is the lighting. The shadowed parts of the egg are practically black. Add some fill lights to light up the shadowed areas. Then you should work on adding some cracks to the egg shells and generally improving the model. The egg yolk and white could use some work, too. They seem too shiny.

This and similar threads must be moved to WIP forum always.
You don’t pay attention to the reference image 3dementia posted in post 4. When that happens nobody is going to help you in some months (until they forget why they are not paying attention to you). Look for example the strength of the reflection in reference image on the yellow of the egg and yours. Try to match what you see in a reference image when you are a newbie. After many tries you step by step get the hang of what is this of 3D.
