I modeled the characters coming out of the goggles using Womp and then exported those models to Blender to texture, light, and do some further arranging.
Curious to get more into modelling tools native to Blender and maybe finding something that is similar to womp in the way you can gloop geometry together cause I would love to skip that step and just work fully in Blender. Open to reccomendations if anyone has any!
I was provided the photography from the start of the project and really wanted to try out matching the lighting with the render. I got myself a base human model and loosely aligned it with the final photo and used that to match and place my lights.
Final compositing was done in Photoshop to add the grain, adjust levels and all that good stuff.
Some fun other things I used in Blender during this project was metaballs for the blood drops and tears, blender kit for some models, grease pencil to add some hand drawn details and faces onto the characters and bombs.
I learned a lot on this project and was really happy with the final result!
