Here is a model in progress of an Ibanez JEM, my favorite guitar, which conveniently has a readily available blueprint on google images. I started this project by shaping a box mesh, which was a relatively slow but very precise process. Then I started over using curves, which was faster but more complicated and didn’t work well in some spots. Then I tried using lattices on a cylinder mesh which was very fast and accurate but gave me an odd looking spiderweb-like mesh, so in the end went back to the original box. Here’s where I’m at so far:
Dang dude, thats pretty sick! I like it!
I play a Schecter, but my friend has an Ibanez.
