There used to be a blender card, with a game called the “Elf Launcher” it was GREAT fun, anyone have it?

Check it out… I got a high score!!!

Look down to #95, at around 28k pts. It says put in your initials, but lets you enter more than 3 characters. I tried “IMProvisar”, but it truncated to “IMP”. There are people with full names up there, but they’re all lower case, so next time I get a high score (if I get a high score), I’ll try “improvisar”.

Tips:

  1. You need 2 bullseyes to advance to the next level, so always start off trying to get the easy bullseyes first… once you’ve got the 2 needed to advance, then you can try for the tougher ones.

  2. Screw the tougher bullseyes all together, especially with rough wind conditions, consistently hitting the 250pt bullseye will give you more points than an occassional 500 or 1000pt hits with a bunch of non-scoring or 50pt edge hits.

  3. I didn’t notice the packages did all that much, except for a little extra bonus points (50-100 or so), so I wouldn’t bother trying for them.

  4. When you get higher in level, patience really helps. Only the bonus rounds (levels 4, 8, 12, etc) are timed, so there’s no penalty for waiting for bears to move, targets to thaw, and wind to die down.

back to the elf launcher card, I think it would be a great idea if the Blender FUNdation would re-release those for christmas.

I have it… sorta, it’s at my house

I can tell you it is called “els.csp.blend” though, and that the “Press F5 to try again” message only applies in a web browser (F5 refreshes the page)

I am looking to see if the file (not the page) is on the blender3d.com site

maybe one of them newfangled fileswapping networks has it?

I haven’t made a plugin page for it yet (it works in the blenderPlayer though)

I haven’t had time to test if It was uploaded correctly though, but I doubt there is anything wrong with it.
