Some of you may remember an
older version of this ship from a
previous post. Everyone said to
add bevels, add bevels, add bevels.
So, I did. I decided to remake it
again from scratch, because I am
not very good with uv-mapping and
it was easier for me to just remake it
than to re uvmap it.
I also re-made the texture. I made it
from scratch in Photoshop.
There is still obviously a long way to
go on it, like texturing the rest of the
ship (guns, etc), better lighting, better
window material (definitely), But it is
at least a start… (oh, also, I really
really need to change the engine flame…
I would really appreciate any comment
and/or advice.
Thank you very much,
Derek Mounce
(just in case you were wondering, the 138 stands for
1:38 am ;P)
Thanks for the comments.
There is still definitely a long
ways to go…
d52477001: I made the textures
with clouds, then a new layer with
sribbles, then rivets, then rust, then
more scribble, then noise, etc etc etc.
Basically, I just painted it all…
(I have a tablet, so that makes it easier)
very nice modelling and texturing!
i agree with GFX Idiot though, this ship looks quite gentle. sort of like some type of scientific exploration probe, not really armed well, just made for observation. or maybe some kind of commuter’s spaceship.
I think that to make it look more aggressive, bulk up the engines a bit, make 'em bigger. also, the cockpit looks like a solid piece of glass. maybe surround it with a chuinky metal frame or cage to give it a tougher look.
