(Update: June 13, 2020)
There’s been something of a big change to the project. I’ve been thought up for a more longer, complex story than just having this as a short film of 22 minutes.
It won’t be enough to tell this story I came up with four days ago. I want to go bigger, and have more freedom with the project than just having it as a short film.
So, from this point on, this will be a high fantasy series, an animated series inspired by both The Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit film trilogies
This is going to be a project I’ll now be spending full-time on. I want this to be finished as much as I want you all to watch it on YouTube. Since just today, I’ve been thinking of turning this to a complete series of several seasons in a 40-minute time.
As I’m doing this, I’ll be able to create a lot more assets and things to the films, and have much more creativity into making them happen.
My goal is to make this an interesting piece of entertainment, and I’ll surely make this happen unlike the other times. This is my promise to you all.
I’ll be writing all of the episodes first, and then draw the storyboards to them, and create animatics of the drawn images with sound and a narrative, and then I’ll be showing them on YouTube after completion.
With this, I’m not sure how long the pre-production will take. But, for now, I’m focusing on the scripts’ writing stage before I rewrite and edit them.
Have no fear, folks! I won’t abandon this project even if I don’t update this topic with the renders of my assets for the scenes for some time. I’m just spending time trying to create them in Blender (which is where I’ll make all three of them in), and once I finish the assets, I’ll post them for sure.
Here on, I’ll be writing on the script for film two, and then it’ll be film three.
…God, this will mean I’ll be using LOTS of paper for the storyboards. But, it’ll be fun. We’ll see until we get there.
Until then, Blender folks!
