Emergence Hole

Heres a little thinger i’m working on. In case you don’t know, the ‘Emergence Hole’ in this case is from the game ‘Gears of War’ (which, by the way, is rather fantastic), and is where the locust, who live underground, emerge up to earth and try to kill us all! :]

So far, the only thing ive really textured and detailed is the payphone, and it still needs some griming-up. so ANYWAYS, heres some WIP images:

Very nice idea there :smiley:
But the hole it self is way too small, only wrenches could crawl through that hole…
If you want it to look like one in the game, it should be at least four times bigger so that boomers or even locusts could climb up from there…

Other that that great work, the phone and the stickers are just great :smiley:

Phone looks good, but the scale of the whole thing apears 2 be wacked. It looks to me like the hole should be way bigger, and the phone further iup the wall and larger. I think its the plug and wireing that does it, its not exactly the standard route for the weires to take, and the actual plugs look way to big. i would show the top of the wall in frame, shrink the plug, and put the wireing down by the bottom.

edit: o, and shrink the skirting as well. if the pay phone is at the corect height, then the skirting is way ot big.

i textured the hole and some rubble, and YES i am aware that the phone is really high up ATM.

i realized shamem was right about the scale, but i like like size of the hole, so instead i made everything else smaller, etc.

hmm… broken nicer tiling. Like it looked good when it was first in(with little designs) but then…

haha can you rephrase that please?

I think free_ality trying to say that he think the tiles should be flash/expensive/good looking, as if the building was origonaly quite nice, not a dump, but to then to break and dirty them.

thanks, and yeah i probably would go for something similar, but i was thinking more of color schemes/materials/etc.

well, if you want a challenge, have a go at these. Not sure about the colors. That realy depends on the style of tile. so you realy need to pick the style, battern, and colour scheme at once :slight_smile:

and i was thinking mabye they shuoldnt be that ornate, because if you look at the surroundings, its not a very fancy place…
