you know the bar that has view, select, object, etc.? Well right after object, is a menu for object mode and edit more of course, and right after that is a small pull down menu. Click on it, and set it to solid. This is what will be shown when in object mode, you probably accidentally switched it to textured mode. You can fool around with those too it’s fun
